I got in!
I went through a stressful semester of getting ready for Sophomore Review and now that it’s over I just have to wait to see if I get in the program. As much I would love to say I’m majoring in Graphic Design or Electronic Communications, if I don’t get in… I guess it’s meant to be. I put my all into my work and hopefully the judges liked it.
Also, Happy Easter.
Spring break in Colorado went from a winter jacket to a tank top. The first stop was Gunnison, Colorado where I witnessed snow on spring break while Kyle and I ate breakfast at a quaint cafe in downtown. Next we headed to Fort Collins, where everyone bikes, jogs and walks making you feel fat and out of shape. When we hiked up Horsetooth Rock I was panting my way to the top when I see an old man just strolling along; now this made me feel pathetic. I loved every minute of this spring break and, in my opinion, it was much better than going to any beach. I loved hiking, swing dancing, shopping, watching movies, and exploring the cities downtowns.
As you get older everything starts to become more serious. Spending your summer doing nothing isn’t acceptable anymore, when you have a boyfriend or girlfriend people start to ask you where it’s going, and laziness means that you might not succeed.
I do know that I have one thing figured out for the summer, I’m going to Taos, New Mexico to study art. Hoping that I get into the graphic design program (another thing that can stand in the way of my future) I know it will influence my designs.
Now I just have to try my hardest in my classes and hope everything works itself out because I have no idea what my future holds.
For New Years I took a trip with my brother and his girlfriend to go to Colorado. While they went skiing Kyle and I decided to go to Denver and Boulder. We walked around Denver’s downtown, ate at a bagel bakery, visited the Denver Aquarium, and then ate at Chilis later that night.
The next day was the day we went to go see Boulder. It was beautiful. All of the stone work on the buildings, the mediums filled with greenery between every road, and the houses painted in the colors of the rainbow made the town remarkable. I loved eating at Boulder Cafe in the middle of Pearl Street Mall, driving with Kyle up the mountains and seeing a lake frozen over, and going ice skating with him later that night. I even have a Boulder Library card now. As for a new years resolution… I don’t think I’m going to make one this year. All I want is to have a a fun, eventful, and productive year.
Now I’m back in Arkansas and OSU is playing Standford in the Fiesta Bowl later this evening. GO POKES!
Christmas 2011
This is Naomi’s first Christmas and she’s having fun although she doesn’t know anything about Santa Calus. As my siblings and I grow older we see ourselves giving each other practical gifts such as spatulas and underwear, so it’s nice to have a baby in the family now so we can give baby dumbbell rattles or ball poppers (much more fun than underwear). Merry Christmas everyone!
